Scottish Hill Walking and Wild Camping was founded back in 2010 by a few wild camping and walking enthusiasts who created a Facebook group to connect with likeminded people.

Since then the group has grown dramatically to over 60,000 members.

The group is full of friendly people sharing their adventures, experiences and amazing picture, and is the first stop place for tips and advice on anything related to hill walking and wild camping in Scotland or even just for having a laugh with likeminded people.

No matter if you’re just starting out or have been doing it for years the group is perfect for everyone.

After the amazing response and popularity of the group we decided to create this site and combine everything we have learned from our members and local businesses over the years and use this site as a one stop shop for everything you need to start/continue your Scottish adventure.
